Keeping up with its senior-level appointments, Dentsu India Group has appointed C P Arora (popularly known as CP) as group chief financial officer, and Suprotim Day (also known as Tim) as chief films officer, Dentsu India.

Rohit Ohri, executive chairman, Dentsu India Group, in an official communiqué, says, "Both Arora and Day will partner me in our endeavor to significantly strengthen our service quality delivery to our clients."

Arora replaces Nobuki Sakai, who was in India for an intermediate period. Prior to this, Arora was with JWT, Delhi, where he was vice-president and executive commercial director. In his new role, Arora will be responsible for the financial plans, P&L management, policies, and accounting practices of the Dentsu India Group. He will also lead the accounting, budgeting, fund management, and financing functions of all the Dentsu India Group companies.

Arora completed his degree in Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India in 1997. He then joined JWT in 2000 as commercial head, and worked in the agency for the next nine years. During his time at JWT, he was promoted as vice-president and executive commercial director. At JWT, Delhi, he tracked financial efficiency and profitability, risk management, legal and compliance, and overall financial operations, both at the corporate, as well as at the business unit level.

With over 25 years of experience in production and direction of television commercials, Day led the films department at JWT Delhi for over five years as agency producer, which was followed by his tenure at the London-based production company Stink in India, as head of operations there. At the agency in London, he was instrumental in setting up a joint venture between Stink and QED Films in India. He left Stink to join Dentsu India.

During his career, Day has worked on various brands such as PepsiCo, Airtel, Sony, Nokia, ESPN, Hero Honda, Frito Lays, Samsung, Electrolux, Mitsubishi, Dabur, McDonalds and Nestle. Some of his most recent films include the KitKat 'Squirrel', Airtel 'Endless Goodbye' and the Mountain Dew 'Wing Suit' flying spot with Salman Khan.
