He will be responsible for the expansion of the agency's Delhi office.
Sanjib Dey has been recently appointed as the chief operating officer by Law & Kenneth India. Dey, who was earlier president, Saatchi & Saatchi, will be based in Delhi, and will report to Anil Nair, chief executing officer and managing partner, Law & Kenneth India.
Dey will be in charge of the overall Delhi business. His job will be to primarily expand the operations in Delhi and take care of all the brands the agency has.
Confirming Dey's appointment, Anil Nair, chief executive officer and managing partner, Law & Kenneth India, says, "We needed somebody of Sanjeev's calibre and stature to gear us up for growth in our Delhi office. Delhi is the fastest growing branch of Law & Kenneth and the market is full of potential. I am pretty sure that he would take our business to another level by manheading it. We want him to use his brand experience and lead the branch from the front which would help us grow substantially. Varinder Kant, branch head in Delhi will also support Sanjib to ensure market growth and eventually help in the agency's growth."
Dey has worked with brands such as Bharat Petroleum, Hyundai, Mother Dairy, Tata Tea, Panasonic, Radico Khaitan's 8 PM and Magic Moments, Sony Handycam, Revital, Aviva Life Insurance and Pepfiz.
Sanjib started his career with the Chennai-based Fountainhead Communications in 1993 as an account executive. He then moved to Everest, Delhi in 1995 as senior account executive. He moved out of the agency in 1999 as account manager.
He then joined Saatchi & Saatchi for a short stint as group manager for their Tata Tea and Panasonic businesses. In 2000, he moved to Bates 141 (then Enterprise Nexus) as account director. He joined Grey Worldwide as client service director in 2002. Subsequently, in 2004, he moved back to Bates 141 again for a second innings, this time as general manager. In December 2005, he moved to Capital as vice-president. After a short stint at Capital, he joined Lowe as vice-president on the LG business in August 2006, before moving to Saatchi & Saatchi in March 2007.
Dey is an alumnus of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA).
