Both Suri and Arora will continue to be based in Delhi and report to Gullu Sen, vice-chairperson and chief creative officer, Dentsu India.
Dentsu India begins the New Year with two significant internal promotions.
Nitin Suri has been promoted as national creative director, Dentsu Marcom. Suri replaces Adrian Mendonza, who moved out of the agency in mid-2010.
Harish Arora will be national creative director, Dentsu Corporate, with additional responsibilities covering Dentsu MediaTech.
Prior to this promotion, Arora was executive creative director, Dentsu India; while Suri was executive creative director, Dentsu Marcom.
Both Suri and Arora will continue to be based in Delhi and report to Gullu Sen, executive vice-chairperson and chief creative officer, Dentsu India.
"It is great to have stalwarts such as Suri and Arora in our team. They bring a sense of dependability and maturity to client relationships. Their promotions and enhanced responsibilities are just our way of saying that they are valued and trusted," says Sen in a press statement.
Arora is known for his prolific Hindi writing, including the Dilli Ki Beti campaign for the Delhi Government and Sar Utha ke Jiyo for HDFC Standard Life. He has been in the advertising industry for more than 20 years and has produced popular campaigns such as Bravery Awards for Red & White; Rotomac 'Kyunke Fighter hamesha jeetta hai'; Toshiba campaign with Vidya Balan; and the launch campaign for Maruti Suzuki's Eeco, among others.
Suri, on the other hand, is known for his art direction. His work on Airtel, Maruti Suzuki, PVR Cinemas, Suzlon and Muskaan (an NGO) has fetched him accolades at the Abby Awards, New York Festival and London International Awards. With an experience of 17 years, Suri, a graduate from the Delhi College of Art, loves photography and is an ardent traveller.
Both Suri and Arora are a part of the founding team at Dentsu India and have been with the agency since its inception seven years ago. Suri, however, took a brief trip out to Bates 141 for a year before returning to the Dentsu fold last year. He has also worked at Rediffusion.
For the record, Shivanand 'Doc' Mohanty is national creative director, Dentsu Communications.
