Cartwheel Creative has won the creative duties for World Player, the value clothing brand from S Kumars Nationwide Limited (SKNL).
While no official word was forthcoming from both the client as well as the agency, industry sources have confirmed the development.
Cartwheel won the account following a multi-agency pitch that was called in November 2010. Law & Kenneth was the incumbent agency.
World Player was launched in 2010 and has aggressive plans for the future.
The brand offers fashion solutions for the youth in the economy segment. It offers a wide range of stylish clothing and accessories. The product range comprises formal, casual and occasion wear that includes formal shirts and trousers, T-shirts, casual shirts, jeans, denim wear and a wide collection of accessories.
Other brands of SKNL include Belmonte, a mass menswear brand; Reid & Taylor, a luxury suiting brand; and Carmichael House, a range of home textiles. In 2007, UK's prestige clothing brand, Stephens Brothers, was licensed to SKNL in India.
It is noteworthy that the group is also scouting for creative partners for Belmonte and Reid & Taylor. Results are awaited for the respective pitches.
