The agency has appointed a head for its Mumbai branch for the first time, with the aim to provide more focused services to clients, as more significant business comes in
Law & Kenneth has promoted Neeraja Kale to the post of senior vice-president and has appointed her the head of the agency's Mumbai branch. Kale, who joined the agency about a year back, so far served as vice-president, heading a set of businesses in Mumbai.
This is the first time the agency has appointed a branch head for Mumbai. The responsibilities were earlier handled by Anil Nair, chief executive officer and managing partner, Law & Kenneth.
The Delhi and the Kolkata branches of the agency are headed by Varinder Kant and Jiten Bhagat, respectively.
Nair tells afaqs! that the appointment of a branch head at Mumbai became necessary, because significant business has been coming in, and providing clearer and more focused services to clients was the need of the hour.
"I am extremely happy to hand over the charge of our largest business unit, Mumbai, in the hands of a capable leader, who I am sure, will take the branch to greater heights. Neeraja's collaborative and hands-on management style have made her the automatic choice for this position," he says.
Kale has around 15 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industry. She started out in advertising with Ogilvy Mumbai and then moved to Publicis Zen. Taking a break from advertising, Kale did marketing stints with L'Oreal and Mattel Toys for a little over two years.
She then worked with McCann Erickson in Mumbai and Bengaluru for over three years. Immediately before joining Law & Kenneth, Kale worked with a boutique agency called Marching Ants.
Talking about her immediate tasks, Kale says, "My first mandate would be to strengthen relationships with clients. And then focus on growth coming both from new business as well as organic working with existing clients."
During her career, Kale has worked on brands such as Cadbury 5 Star, Garnier, Stayfree and Western Union.
