Ambar Chakravarty, executive creative director, Publicis Ambience has put in his papers at the agency. He joined the agency in 2007 and P&G was one of the key accounts handled by him.

Confirming the development to afaqs!, Ashish Khazanchi, national creative director, Publicis Ambience, says, "Ambar has always been an asset to the agency and somebody who has given priority to his work more than anything else. He will be missed here."

According to sources, the agency is already on the lookout for a replacement and will soon make up its mind on the same.

Chakravarty began his career in 1999 with an internship at Grey (then Trikaya Grey), following which he did a short stint with Network Advertising, where he worked on the Jet Airways account. After that, he moved to Saatchi & Saatchi - first in Mumbai and later, in Bengaluru. At Saatchi & Saatchi, he worked on accounts such as BPL, Head & Shoulders and Ariel.

Subsequently, he moved to Delhi and worked with Rediffusion Y&R, Mudra and Contract. At Rediff, his main interest was Airtel, while at Mudra, he looked after Samsung and McDonald's.

He left Contract as associate creative director, after which he joined McCann as creative team leader in 2004, working his way up the ranks to the post of creative director. At McCann, some of the prime accounts he worked on included Coca-Cola, Barclay's Bank, Parachute and Radio Mirchi (the famous 'Accident' ad for the radio station was his creation).

Chakravarty holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Delhi University.
