Bhattacharyya holds the credit for leading the Hutch outdoor campaign in Delhi in 2004
Nabendu Bhattacharyya, head of Ogilvy Landscapes’ Mumbai operations will now be the national head of the company.
As per an official communiqué, Bhattacharyya says, “The biggest challenge for us is to continue influencing the growth of the outdoor industry. With 18 offices across the country, we hope to stay ahead of the pack.”
A commerce graduate from Calcutta University, Bhattacharyya started his career with the Selvel Vantage Group, handling their northern India operations. He then moved on to join Emirates Neon, an ‘out of home’ company in the Middle East. In 1999, he moved back to India to join O&M’s outdoor specialist unit, Ogilvy Landscapes.
As an additional responsibility, Bhattacharyya has been handling the Delhi operations since 2003. He also holds the credit for leading the Hutch outdoor campaign in Delhi in 2004.
For the record, Ogilvy Landscapes is the flagship unit of Ogilvy Activation, the ‘out of home’ division of Ogilvy & Mather.
Talking about Bhattacharyya’s new role, Pratap Bose, president, Ogilvy Activation, says, “Bhattacharyya’s experience and expertise in this field will help us increase Ogilvy’s dominance in the ‘out of home’ market - a position which we have held for more than a decade.”
