SaharaOne has bagged the RAPA Awards for telefilm ‘Phir Se’. The RAPA award will be presented to SaharaOne at the 30th All India Awards function at the Taj Land’s End, Mumbai on May 7.

Sahara One created a dedicated slot on Saturday 8.30 pm for telefilms only, called 'Cinema Ghar' where variety entertainment content is the USP. Phir Se, is one such telefilm which weaves a tale around the happenings when an ex-husband and ex-wife who’ve had the most bitter and acrimonious divorce ten years back and have not existed for each other since, suddenly meet after ten years. And on a woman’s dilemma in life when she has to choose between her ex-husband and live-in boyfriend.

Starring Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Akshay Anand and Varun Badola and directed by Sohail Tattari, Phir Se is a Sunjoy Wadhwa (Sphere Origins) venture. Sohail Tattari has earlier produced and directed the award-winning Kadam for Sahara One.

Cinema Ghar on every Saturday at 8.30 pm has almost all possible hues of drama, from emotional love stories to romantic comedies to suspense thrillers to stories on relationships.

The focus was on providing two hours of hardcore entertainment that would take the viewer on an emotional journey laced with laughter with touching moments and also offer an opportunity to promote independent film-makers to showcase.

Says Mr Purnendu Bose, COO, Sahara One Television, “The award has been a great motivator. Very shortly, we will also introduce film releases on television. There would be big banner films that would be first released on television and later in theatres.”
