For Resort 2011, Anupamaa created an exquisite collection which perfectly embodied the rich colour, feel and texture of Dulux Velvet Touch, a byword for luxury and premiumness on walls. The collection beautifully used the palettes of Dulux's premium paint, Dulux Velvet Touch-Trends, to create a stunning collection. Anupamaa's collection called 'Short Stories', includes 6 genres of fashion, namely chic, metal, bohemian, classic, retro and ethnic, which are also the six themes in the Dulux Velvet Touch Trends range. Short stories are Anupamaa's translation of each genre into a story.

Commenting on this path breaking association, Mr Satish Upadhyay, Brand Head, Dulux Velvet Touch, Akzo Nobel India said, "Adding Colour to People's lives has always been at the core of AkzoNobel's philosophy. The Lakme Fashion week maps the changing trends in colour, patterns and textures which finds a perfect synergy in our effort to constantly offer the newest and best colour palettes to our consumers. Our association with the Lakme Fashion Week and Anupamaa is an effort to bring it alive for the audience."

Anupamaa's Dulux collection marked the confluence of folklore, modernism, fantasy and fashion. She used the luxurious colours of the Velvet Touch range in translucent and fluid fabrics like chiffons, chanderi's, georgettes, crepe de chines and some twill silk to create a dreamy and painterly textures. The feather light long dresses, layered midi length dresses, slouchy wide trousers, long eclectically slit skirts all reflected the various moods of the Dulux Velvet Touch range.

Talking about this, Anupamaa said "It was a pleasure creating a collection inspired by the Dulux Velvet Touch range. The colour palettes in the Dulux Velvet Touch range are rich, luxurious and it was immensely satisfying for me to translate it into creations for the ramp. It was great working with Dulux."
