For Span Communications, content is ‘commitment’

After tasting huge success with its web series Japani Toy and Dhanbad Blues, Span Communications is all set to explore the genre further with its new suspense thriller ‘Shobdo Jobdo’ in Bangla on a leading OTT Platform ‘hoichoi’ which is known for dishing out regional content in India and the world over. Notably, ‘hoichoi’ ranks among the top video streaming for Bengalis all over the world.

Created under the umbrella of Trickster & Span productions, the new web series will feature popular actor Rajat Kapoor in the lead role who is playing a writer. The series is a modern-day psychological thriller with elements of mystery.

“The nonlinear format gives us the freedom to experiment and dish out bold, vibrant and unique content. With the rise in the viewership of OTT platforms, we now do not have to follow the regular entertainment norms and can work on fresh ideas.” Says Naresh Kheterpal, Founder & CEO Span Communications.

Interestingly, the previous series by the company talked about subjects which society believes is a taboo and keeps under a wrap.

Recently, the company also bagged a prestigious project of producing a show for DD Arunprabha. The show is a travelogue featuring all the eight states of North East India. This thirteen-episode show will exclusively talk about the rock band legacy of North East India while showcasing its beauty, culture and music.

For the past 22 years, Span Communications has already created ripples in the art of storytelling by designing successful campaigns for national and international brands. The company is now making heads turn on content streaming platforms with gripping storylines and many of its projects are in pipeline which are going to be released soon on leading OTT platforms across India. “We promise to leave our audiences wanting for more because they are actually the king” added Naresh Kheterpal when asked about the content of their future web series.
