Here’s a little sneak peek into her workday, leadership mantra, and advice for young professionals.

The best part of my job is

The best part of my job is that I get to work with bright young minds not just in India but across the Middle East and North Africa. We have an office in Dubai and are opening an office in KSA. Ours is a young and dynamic business, and there is so much to learn as we go about building our business globally. It’s exciting!

My leadership mantra

My leadership mantra is to always try to put myself in the other person's shoes. Leadership is a lot about inspiring, persuading, convincing, and taking people along. Being open-minded as opposed to having an opinionated approach is my style.

My career-defining moment

My career-defining moment was when, after spending years in TV and then print media, I got the opportunity to be the COO of a leading digital publisher. This paved the way for my career, leading me to pivot to the digital side, and honestly, it was the best thing that happened to me professionally. I haven’t looked back since.

My advice to young professionals

My advice to young professionals is to invest in their learning and acquire genuine skills by fully applying themselves to their jobs. Attitude will trump aptitude in the early stages of one’s career, but taking shortcuts is not sustainable.

How I recharge on the weekends

I enjoy spending time with my family; our daughter is our stress buster, and being with her recharges me.

A recent ad campaign I liked

This festive season, Blue Heaven is promoting their new product range that provides both makeup and skincare within one product, across Instagram. With a hectic travel schedule, I often tend to neglect my skin. I like this product for being an Indian brand that has superior quality, innovative products and yet is offering them at affordable prices!
