In a recent announcement, Procter & Gamble (P&G) India has appointed Madhusudan Gopalan as its new managing director (MD) and CEO. He will take over the charge from April 1, 2018.

Gopalan is currently leading the P&G business in Indonesia where he has led strong sales growth, share turn around, strong value creation and cash productivity. He has more than 18 years of experience in the FMCG industry with P&G, working in India, the US and ASEAN markets, along with a wide range of categories and channels.
Gopalan will take over the charge from Al Rajwani, who is set to retire from the company after 37 years of service after the end of the current financial year. Until his retirement, Rajwani will help in onboarding Gopalan on the India business and enable a smooth transition.
