Peter MacKenzie has been named managing director of Harley-Davidson India, with immediate effect, as per a press note issued by the brand team. He will handle operations in the India market in addition to his current role as managing director of the brand in the Greater China region.

MacKenzie will continue to be based in Shanghai, China. He will travel to India frequently, says the press note.
On a day-to-day basis, the note clarifies, Manish Agarwal, the brand's country manager, will provide full support to the brand's operations in India.
Recently, Pallavi Singh, former director, marketing, Harley-Davidson India, moved on from the company. She is now with MG Motor India, fully-owned subsidiary of Chinese auto company SAIC Motor Corporation, and handles the brand's India operations.
In his new role, MacKenzie will manage Harley-Davidson India’s leadership team responsible for in-country sales, dealer network management, marketing, service and operations-related activities, to expand the company’s presence in the country. He joined Harley-Davidson in 2010.
