Adidas has promoted Tushar Goculdas as brand director, emerging markets from his previous role of brand director, adidas India. He will take charge of the new role in March, 2015 and will be based out of Dubai.
Goculdas succeeds Dave Thomas, who was recently announced as the new Managing Director for adidas Group India. He will report directly to Osman Ayaz, MD, emerging markets, adidas Group.
In his new role, Goculdas will be responsible for further strengthening and growing the Adidas brand and reinforcing the brand's connection with consumers and athletes within Adidas emerging markets, comprising the Middle East, Africa, part of Eastern Europe and the Indian subcontinent.
He has led the marketing function at adidas India since October, 2008 where he strengthened and grew the brand by making significant enhancements to adidas' athlete portfolio, deploying innovative campaigns and executing strong consumer engagement programs.
Before joining adidas, Goculdas worked at Boston Consulting Group, Colgate-Palmolive and Whirlpool. He has over 17 years of experience and has worked for over six years at adidas.
His successor at adidas India will be announced in the near future.
