Asylum Films will now have access to The Sweet Shop's roster of directors in India.
Multi-disciplinary production company, The Sweet Shop, has announced a creative partnership with Mumbai-based production company, Asylum Films. While, Asylum Films will now have exclusive access to The Sweet Shop's roster of directors in India, The Sweet Shop will also be able to avail the services of Asylum's founder, Razneesh Ghai.
"I think every collaboration helps you grow and the filmmaking future is all about collaborations," said Asylum Films' director, Razneesh Ghai. "We are very proud to represent The Sweet Shop's roster in India and I think this partnership will lead to some fabulous co-productions in the future. I am personally also excited to be a part of the director's roster at The Sweet Shop"
The Sweet Shop has offices in London, Los Angeles, Auckland, Melbourne and Bangkok. This partnership will help it expand its geographical footprint into India, and allow it to deliver the same level of executive leadership and seamless client service it is known for around the world.
"It not only works well to have someone on the ground as a local point of contact and knowledge to build the required security for each project, but also allows our directors to focus purely on making the best work possible," says Claire Davidson, executive producer for The Sweet Shop (Asia and Mena).
"Clients and agencies can be assured with the partnership's communication and commitment," continues Daniel Ho, senior producer. Having a local partner giving you insight into the culture and nuances can be the difference between a good spot and a great one."
The Sweet Shop's roster of directors is available under its own label within the Asylum Films stable, with Bhavna Singh, executive producer, as its dedicated producer for both production and talent management.
