Dua will continue in his current role till June 24 and will later pursue an opportunity outside of the company.
After a stint of over eight years, Anil Dua, senior vice president, sales, marketing and customer care has put in his papers at Hero Motocorp to pursue an opportunity outside of the company. As per an official statement from the company, Dua will serve his notice period till June 24.
At Hero Motocorp, Dua was responsible for entire gamut of sales, marketing, advertising, dealer development and after-sales operations in India. Under his leadership the company has refreshed and built the largest range of two wheelers in India, including new successful brands of CD Dlx, Glamour, CBZ Xtreme, Hunk, Pleasure and Karizma ZMR.
Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO, Hero MotoCorp says, "Anil's contribution towards the growth of the company is highly appreciated. He played an important role in doubling of sales volumes and increasing market share during the past eight years. I thank Anil for his contributions, and wish him all the very best in his future endeavour."
On his journey with the company, Dua adds, "I have had an extremely fulfilling time at Hero MotoCorp. Hero continues to be the No. 1 two-wheeler brand and is going from strength to strength. I thank Mr. Munjal and the senior leadership team at Hero for their valuable support and guidance. I have accepted an exciting opportunity outside of the country to begin a new chapter in my professional career. I will, however, always cherish my days at Hero."
For the record, the national marketing and sales functions of the company will continue to be headed by Sanjeev Shukla and A Srinivasu respectively. The national dealer development and after-sales service functions will remain with Ajay Dikshit and Rajesh Mukhija, respectively.
Dua has over 24 years of work experience. Prior to joining Hero MotoCorp, Dua has worked in multinational giants like Unilever and Gillette. He started his career as a management trainee with Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and worked in various capacities across businesses. He was associated with launch of staple foods business of Hindustan Unilever and the brand Annapurna. After one and a half decade with HUL, he moved to Gillette as Director, Strategy for India & South Asia.
A global traveler, Dua is an Engineer from IIT, Delhi and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
