Based in Mumbai, he will head teams across TNS India.
TNS, a global research consultancy, has announced the appointment of Hemant Dham as executive director, operations, India. He moves in from Ipsos, a research agency, where he was leading the operations function for India. Dham has worked at TNS in the past; he was vice-president, operations for TNS India and Sri Lanka in 2010.
In this new role, Dham will lead teams across India, and will report to Vishy Rajagopal S, regional director, operations, TNS Asia Pacific, and Chhavi Bhargava, India MD of the company. Rajagopal joined the company in November, 2013.
He assumes his position with immediate effect and will be based in Mumbai.
Rajagopal says Dham joins TNS at a time when the company is ready to redefine and completely digitalise data collection across geographies. Dham has over 20 years of experience in the research industry. Besides Ipsos, he has worked at market research agencies NFO, IRIS and Nielsen as well.
