Anshu Bagai, the chief marketing officer and head of institutional sales, Tupperware India has resigned from the company. Confirming this to afaqs!, Bagai informs that he has joined AMC Cookware as managing director recently. He left Tupperware in October 2013
AMC Cookware is a German stainless steel cookware manufacturer and is one of the world market leaders in the field of stainless steel cooking systems. AMC set up shop in India as AMC Cookware India in 1998.
Bagai joined Tupperware in 2004, moving from Sodexo where he was responsible for marketing and affiliations. Earlier, Bagai was part of the start-up team at De Beers and was responsible for marketing programmes which helped position the brand at the top-of-league in the highly competitive jewellery market.
At Tupperware, Bagai was responsible for designing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth in India. This included developing India specific products, market research, brand management, incentive and loyalty programmes.
A career spanning 20 years has given Bagai the opportunity to work across industries with hands-on marketing and sales experience at companies such as Apollo Tyres and Madura Coats. Bagai is a graduate in electronics and communications from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi University and also holds an MBA in marketing from NMIMS, Mumbai.
