Sanjay Warke will head the DS division. He led the operations of eastern circle for Vodafone.
Electronic product manufacturer Toshiba India, a subsidiary of Japanese Toshiba Corporation, has brought on board Sanjay Warke as country head for its DS (digital services) division. Warke, who was with Vodafone as operations director, East, joins Toshiba's head office in Gurgaon. Warke will be in charge of the division's business strategy and growth.
Warke has been brought on board in place of Tengguo Wu, who will head the company's Singapore office. An IIM Bangalore alumnus, Warke has 20 years of experience in an array of senior level positions in sales and marketing, SCM, corporate finance and brand management. Before Vodafone, Warke worked with PepsiCo India as executive director, south market unit, beverages division. He was also with Cadbury India for 13 years, before which he did a two year sales stint with Asian Paints and was a trainee engineer at Standard Batteries.
Warke says, "Toshiba stands for leading practical innovation and epitomises quality and reliability. I hope to enunciate the same values through my responsibilities and teamwork."

Set up in 1875 in Japan, Toshiba has more than 550 consolidated companies and its annual sales exceeds $74 billion.
