Lakshmikant Gupta, chief marketing officer, LG Electronics India has quit the organisation after serving it for five years.

Gupta says, "It was one of the best learning experiences I have ever had in life. I have had a great time here."

Speaking on his next move, Gupta says that he is out and out a marketing person. "I have some plans, but when the time is right, I will let everyone know about it,"

he adds.

An MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, Gupta began his career with IMRB in 1996 and served as associate project director for five years. Later, he shifted to Gillette and served there for nearly a decade. He joined LG Electronics India as vice-president and chief marketing officer in 2007.

LG Electronics, the Indian arm of the Korean giant, offers a wide array of products in the consumer durables segment including television and home entertainment, mobile handsets, computer products, home appliances and others. Worldwide, LG controls 114 local subsidiaries, with roughly 82,000 employees.
