DLF Brands, the fully-owned subsidiary of DLF, has elevated Dipak Agarwal as chief executive, operations and strategy. Prior to the promotion, he was chief financial officer.
Timmy Sarna, managing director, DLF Brands, in an official communique, says, "This is a crucial time in our company's evolution. We continue to strengthen our leadership team to ensure we have a solid foundation to support our focus on growth, across our services and markets."

Agarwal, who is an MBA in Finance, has studied Accountancy from ACCA. He spent his initial six years (1994-2000), with various financial firms in the United Kingdom. He moved to India in 2000, and joined Planet Retail as chief financial officer. After six years, he moved to SSIPL Retail as chief financial officer in December 2006, for a period of two years.
In 2008, he switched to DLF Brands, once again as chief financial officer. At DLF Brands, he has handled various international brands like DKNY, Boggi Milano, Mango, Sunglass Hut, ELC, Mothercare, and Alcott.
