The Longhand Awards, a long copy award show, has called for entries for the fourth year of the event.

Bodhisatwa Dasgupta, senior creative director, JWT, who started the event in the year 2012, says in a press note:

The Longhand Awards, the world's first long copy award show, has just opened its proverbial doors for entries for the fourth year in a row.

Started by Dasgupta in 2012, the awards aim to resurrect the somewhat dying art of copywriting.

Over the years, Longhand has been judged by legends such as Neil French, Indra Sinha, Emmanuel Upputuru, Nima Namchu, Mohammed Khan, Tony Brignull, and Ed McCabe.

Unlike last year, when the briefs were either set by Longhand itself, or the first year when they were written by the judges, the format for this year is completely different.

The briefs are ads themselves, which are five ads found in The Copy Book - Albany, New Zealand Tourism, Chivas Regal, Ciga Hotels, and Apple. The task for writers is to better the ad. Who's judging? The original writers who've written the ads themselves - Adrian Holmes, John Bevins, Neil French, Alfredo Marcantonio, and John Bevins.

The last date for submitting entries is September 30, 2016.
