Online education marketplace ThinkVidya has been rebranded to UrbanPro, an online marketplace that connects professionals and consumers across a variety of fields. With more than three lakh professionals across 1,000+ categories, UrbanPro aims to become the one-stop-shop for hyper-local services.
The platform will provide services in areas like Education (existing category), Health & Wellness
Event Management Services, Photographers and Interior Designers.
While ThinkVidya.com provided students and parents the ability to find the right teacher to meet their learning requirements, UrbanPro.com looks at providing the optimal platform for customers and local service providers.
With a presence in more than 10 cities, the portal aims at organising and offering a seamless experience to both consumers and professionals in the local services category.
Speaking on the re-branding, Rakesh Kalra, founder and CEO, says, "While we will continue to grow our education vertical significantly, we will also be launching several new local services and hence have changed our brand name to UrbanPro from ThinkVidya.com. Some of the segments where we will be giving consumers that choice in a city will be categories like Health & Fitness, Interior Designing, Photography and Event Services."
A consumer will be able to come and post a requirement and, in less than a minute, those requirements will be matched with multiple professionals for that service, to be further reviewed and contacted.
