Hindi news channels have seen a number of big names and familiar faces moving from one channel to another. The past few months saw Punya Prasoon Bajpai, channel head, Sahara Samay, join Zee News as consulting editor and Kishore Ajwani of Zee News join STAR News. Ajwani had been anchor and deputy executive producer at Zee News for seven years.
The moves are attributed to the fight amongst the top channels to attract experienced talent within the industry. The familiar faces are expected to provide credibility and identities with which viewers can connect and relate.
