SAB TV will launch a new comedy show, Bhaago KK Aaya, on January 29. The half-hour show will be telecast every Tuesday at 8pm. As of now, a total of 26 episodes have been planned for the show, and more will be designed depending on its popularity.
Bhaago KK Aaya will be an extended version of the miniature sitcom, Sab ka Boss, which was part of the sitcoms and gags series, Sab ka Bheja Fry, aired in August 2007. Sab ka Boss was the story of a loser boss and had a total of 52 episodes.
Commenting on the reason why they were adapting the show to a larger format, Anooj Kapoor, business head, SAB TV, says, “Sab ka Boss received a tremendous response from the audience when it was running. We didn’t stop getting mails and messages from viewers about the popularity of the show even when it was over. We decided to go ahead and try the concept in the form of a full-fledged show. Hopefully, Bhaago KK Aaya will do equally well.”
Bhaago KK Aaya is the story of a loser boss, the owner of a newspaper. He is dumb and always cracking sick jokes in office. He is so unpopular that everyone wants to run away and hide at the very mention of his name. The show is being produced by Abhimanyu Singh’s Contiloe Films.
SAB TV will soon be tying up with a radio channel to promote the show in various locations in the country. The radio promotions will include some of the jokes KK cracks during the series. Apart from this, the channel will run promos of the programme on its network channels. No print or outdoor advertising will be used.
SAB TV’s other shows in the 8pm band include Funny Family on Monday, Yes Boss on Wednesday and FIR on Thursday.
